Netherlands won the ECTC after beating Poland in the last
round. Poland´s women´s team played 2-2 against Armenia, which

REPORT FROM THE WOMEN´S TOURNAMENT
Norwegian arbiter Hans-Olav Lahlum has found time to put
together an extensive report from the women´s tournament,
something he will keep doing throghout the tournament.

THE TOURNAMENT HAS STARTED
In the end, 66 teams plays in the tournament. The live transmission covers 32 games which means that 5
whole matches in the open class and 3 matches in the
women´s class are covered.

TIME CONTROL
As there have
been some questions about the time control, we would like to
clarify that the new FIDE time control will be used. The playing time will
be 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 15 minutes for the rest of the game with an
increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move 1.

The ECU General Assembly will take place on August 6th at 10
am. As some team captains and arbiters will also be delegates
